These ages are critical to the complete and healthy physical, emotional, mental, psychological social and cognitive growth of children. But childhood adversities results in a negative impact on individual’s growth and development. Many a time it leads to psychosis. In many cases no one is aware that the real cause is relay on childhood adversities. This workshop emerges due to the increase number of cases with childhood adversities. Proper treatment and management still remain as a positive sign of better tomorrow.Who can Participate

Childhood Adversities, Psychosis and Management By Sr. Dr. Joan Chunkapura MMS (Secretary& Principal, TRADA)
This session deals with the impact of Child-hood adversity on the mental wellbeing of individuals. Many a time we are unaware about the effects of adversities like neglect, comparison, poor parenting, family disparity, etc. on the development of mental illness among children. Lack of proper timely intervention is lead to psychosis condition in later adulthood. We focus on prevention and proper management in the appropriate time which will help us in creating a healthier community.Session II
Clinical Case Presentation By Dr. Riswin R. Babu [MBBS, MD (PSY)] (Psychiatrist)
Children with mental impairment are left without any help and proper treatment due to the in-creased stigma towards mental illness in our society. Proper diagnosis and medical management showed a pleasant result in the most of the cases.This session describes the relationship between Childhood adversities and psychosis evidently observed and managed in our institution.

Psycho-therapeutical Intervention on Childhood Adversities By Rev. Fr. Dr. Georgy Joseph (MSc, MTh, M. Phil, DEHM, PhD, Consultant Psy-chologist and Clinical Psychotherapist)
This session refers to a variety of methods and techniques used to help children and adolescents who are experiencing difficulties with their emotions or behaviors. Although there are different types of psychotherapy, each relays on communication as basic tool and bringing a change in a person’s feeling and behavior.
